One says "Thou art my beloved son; with thee I am well pleased," and the other says "Thou are my beloved son; today I have begotten thee." Referring to the latter, Barclay states "...in that moment, the man Jesus was fully and finally chosen for the work which God had brought him into the world to do; it would mean that all through the long thirty years of preparation, Jesus had so proved and prepared himself that now in this tremendous moment God was adopting him into unique sonship for a unique task; it would mean that in that moment God offered and Jesus accepted the task of being the Saviour of the world." <br /><br />I ended up writing "(CAEMS)" at the end of that paragraph in my book.BrieAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06937713737325460840noreply@blogger.com
